So this is how we pick a President.

Got to say that it is tempting to get into the he said-he said- she said of the current political season. Whether it is McCain's latest gaff or Obama's. Perhaps I should pounce on everything coming out of the Right's mouth just as they do to the left. We could sling crap and piss on one another like monkeys or we could evolve?

I'll be damned if I've heard any real issues in this election. The few times Obama has attempted to be honest about the environment or the economy he is shouted down by Righties who have no other agenda, and no interest in America than simply to be obstinate and loyal to their party. (Ask a Rightie next time whether he or she is more loyal to the country or his party. Turnabout is fair play)

Never mind that global warming has ravaged the agri-economy for decades. (Already inundated Iowa and Wisconsin picked up another 4-9 inches of rain last night)The global economy teeters on longterm disaster and instability. We don't want to hear that unche\cked greed and speculation has overinflated a strategic resource and imperiled the nations security.Republicrooks would have you outraged that the government reaps on average40-60 cents from that $4.25 gallon of gas as they do their paid bidding for the oil companies. We'll grumble about that forty cents though it is a ruse as Bush and company drains the real wealth from the nation. We don't want to discuss the fact that $33 of every $100 Dollars in taxes you pay goes to Iraq, and that of that $1.30 goes to waste as fraud. That doesn't include the monstrous sums paid to contractors.

We don't want the truth. We want the illusion that we will forever have our toys, and remain fat and stupid. Elections are supposed to be a national mirror, a reflection, an accounting, not cult partyism. They are supposed to be about truth; the real diffucult truths, the truths you hate to hear but need to hear, not the ones you want to invent.

So at the end of the day, I'm not jumping into the soupy soap opera pap of Lyndsey Graham's stupid comment and insult of the American people, or Jesse Jackson wanting to cut off Obama's... I'll argue the issues and let the Righties blather about lapel pins and Reverend Wright, because at the end of the day that's what defines a patriotic American. Step up and take the challenge Righties?

Maybe they should set up an ebay page of policies and promisies and everyone can then 'bid' on who and what policies they want enforced.
    (Kidding!)
