At four bucks a gallon of gas only fools, the desperate or those tricked into the gluttony of the Bush administration and still hold a huge note will be driving them for long. I'm not talking about those folks, like contractors who need them for business, so don't twist my words Righties. Dealerships are beginning to turn owners away from trade-ins, or to offer paltry value.
Good riddence. They were a sign of our gluttony and greed. More than that, a sign of the short-sightedness of the Bushies that burdens us from Iraq to the gas pump. Yesterday, aside from a continuing weakening of the Dollar, the price per barrel of oil edge to the $123 dollar mark. Analysts believe that by the end of the year it could top the $200 dollar mark. Folks, we're looking at $5 or $51/4 gallon price.
Went to lunch with a friend the other day. He claims to be a Republican, but is really more a moderate. His outlook though betrays some of the Right's illogical thought. I was talking about getting a smart car or a mini cooper to save on gas, now costing me and my Honda $160 a month.
He replied that he loved his SUV and sure wouldn't want to get hit by a truck in a smart car. My reply was, "is there anything you WOULD want to get hit by a truck in?
