How about a Quickie?

There is a reason not to believe anything the Republicans say, especially about the economy. On Yesterday's Michael Medved show founder and publisher of Investor's Bisiness Daily, and ardent Right wing zealot Bill O'Neill was speaking about the economy and tax cuts. He stated that 90% of jobs in the US were created by small businesses. Not three minutes later, when pressed by a caller over tax cuts for large corporations, O'Neill advocated for cuts because corporations "create the jobs." Which is it? Small businesses or large corporations. Can't the right keep track of their own lies any longer. Maybe he was simply correcting the truth he misspoke with the mythology of those who would steal the country and its government fom the American people for their own greed.

ON A DIFFERENT NOTE: A self-annointed pro lifer, and who isn't unless you are a zombie, told me the other day, how do I know the baby "I" abort wouldn't grow up to cure cancer or AIDS? True, I replied, but how do you know the child "I" aborted wouldn't grow up to kill the person who would cure cancer and AIDS? If that's how the game is played, then I got a smart ass answer fo every retarded accusation by the right. In the end, neither gets us any closer to a solution. Works the same for the torture question. What would I do if I had a suspect in custody and you knew a nuclear devise would explode in San Diego in five minutes? what if I cop knew had a guy in custody and a 7-11 was about to get robbed of $27 bucks and some slim jims, or a principle knew kids were smoking a joint in a bathroom? Maybe we pass a law that only terrorists can be tortured. Anti-logging activists last year were tried under domestic terror charges, and the Federal government attempted to bring terrorism charges against those protesting against Blackwater in California. I think child and spousal abuse is terrorism and gang violence kills more people each year than 9-11. Isn't that terrorism? Maybe torture should be allowed in all cases, or at the descretion of police officers, like if they pull you over at night and don't like the way you look. Let's condone torture if you say anything against the government, or criticize the President. Let's just be a violent, self serving, brutal society with one race, one religion and one party. Oh wait, the Spanish tried that during the inquisition.
