About the worst thing anyone can accuse Barack Obama of, factually that is, is being a black man in America, and having a perspective commensurate with the black experience in this country. Hillary on the other hand, much like her husband, has shown a penchant not only for mincing words and equivocationg, but outright lies. CBS News caught her in a glaring one today. And it it wasn't an actual fabrication it betrays a fundamental flaw in percieving reality.
Here's the story. In a speech highlighting her foreign policy experience over Obama Hillary recaounted a harrowing tail of coming under sniper fire in Bosnia and scurrying to a vehicle. Problem was there were cameras rolling showing her smiling and standing about quite comfortAbly. She is chatting with NATO troops and visiting with a little Bosnian girl. Recording devices, who would hav guessed. You would have thought with all the Gingrich Republicrooks dogging her and Bill she might have noticed that those pesky recording gizmos seems to have rolled up the careers of a lot of Republicrooks. Just ask Tom Delay.
Regular readers to this blog know that I've been to Bosnia going on a dozen times since the war began. I've forgotten more Balkan history than most people will ever know. I've argued Yugoslav history with diplomats, gun weilding soldiers, and the toughest adversary, my father in law-a hard core nationalist Serb. No one is going to BS me on the war.
When Hillary visited the country in 1996 there were no snipers. The United Nations Protection Force had been replaced by a robust NATO force. A NATO campaign had all but devastated Serbian forces, collapsed their infrastructure and brought a quick end to violence. Not that most Serbs, Croats and Muslims weren't already exhausted by three years of brutal warfare. The cruelest thing anyone can do in war is to lie about it. There is a responsibility to the truth, and Hillary has failed that test. It is time for her to step aside. This nation has no interest in replacing the current liar-in-chief with another one. So long Hillary, and to all those who have dragged this good country down a dead end road. A road, incidentally lined with the bodies of 4000 American soldiers, that Hillary also lied about.

Something truly weird is going on in the Clinton campaign. Either the vaunted wonkness of both Bill and Hillary was over-stated or they have made a Faustian bargain to secure the presidency and maybe not rock the proverbial boat as much as Obama may. Either way I agree that she cannot not now represent this country in the White House.
