Dereliction of Duty.

Earlier today Taliban sappers attacked a rally in downtown Kabul, killing 3 including a ten year old girl. It was, by all accounts a coordinated attack by a small unit demonstrating solid, if suicidal, tactics. The real target was Afghan puppet president, former Conoco oil executive Hamid Karzai. A source on the ground in Kabul told me, despite official reports, that Karzai narrowly escaped death. The NATO commander in Afghanistan also narrowly escaped with his life. It is a further indication of how poorly, strike that, how criminally the effort in Afghanistan has been prosecuted.

Funny how the Republicrooks who love to way the flag over the troops, who mark their outrage by been far more sensitive than minorities who now have a voice to combat the derogatory speech of the white community, funny how they fail to mention Afghanistan. It doesn't seem to feed their masturbatory fantasies of wars they will never fight or bleed for. They don't mention anymore the stories of disillusioned soldiers who know that bin Laden, the confessed perp of 9-11(remember, that's what started all this), was allowed to escape. They fail to mention that opium and heroin sales of ballooned world wide, thanks to the good farmers of Afghanistan, or that this government unofficially looks the other way to make nice with local warlords and tribal elders. That same product, which has bed a global heroin epidemic also helps supply the Taliban and Al Qa'eda with weapons. They fail to mention thatmuch of southern Afghanistan is under the effective control of the Taliban, and that they have far more influence than the US or NATO. Nato, by the way, because of American mistakes and corruption has all but given up on the lost cause of Afghanistan. The Republicrooks can't seem to mention that most foreign and US bases in Afghanistan are under virtual and perpetual siege.

The fact is Bush allowed this to happen, whether on purpose or by sheer incomeptence, and that is called dereliction of duty, and it is an offense that, at the least would lead to an immediate removal from office, and, my humble and understated opinion send him to jail for life. His incompetence/crimes and those of members of his administration, shills in the Rightwing media, and Republicrooks in Congress are responsible for the unnecessary deaths of tens or hundreds of thousands, for the deaths of thousands of US soldiers(while clamboring for the deaths of still more), the destruction of two countries, the plundering of the treasury, illegally propagandizing the American public and the loss in standing of this country in the world. These legacies will haunt the USA for generations and those who are responsible should pay and pay mightily. Of course, not that I have an opinion on the matter.
